Photo-Video, Creative and Printing Ad Suppliers featured in 3-day Exhibit and Seminars

(Manila, Philippines ) – The recently-concluded 17th Graphic Expo, Photo-Video Expo and 9th Print Tech Manila 2012 held last June 14-16, 2012 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, featured top-of-the-line advertising suppliers in photo-video, creative and printing sectors. The exhibition spans 5,000 square meters, 175 booths, 120 Exhibitors, 500 seminar participants and 13,000 trade visitors. The exhibit floor showcased state-of-the art technologies in video, photography, digital imaging, publishing and printing.Bryan Peterson, one of the world’s renowned Professional Photographer, fly-in to conduct his seminar-workshop that focused on ‘Understanding Exposure and Seeing Things Creatively’. Bryan shared his three most common methods used in metering — methods that guarantee a perfect exposure each and every time even when shooting in the snow, sunsets/sunrises and city/country scenes at dusk or dawn and even backlit flowers or portaits. He shared why the world of exposure is confusing or you are not recording consistently perfect and creative exposures, and why some exposures ‘work’ and others don’t.Jim Paredes, a Music Icon and Ace Photographer, in his live photography learning session, shared his creative perspectives and secrets in Glamour and Landscape Photography. These photography sessions were well-attended and SRO (Standing Room Only) with professional, amateur and hobbyist photographers.The trade show floor was packed with state-of-the-art publishing and printing technologies, particularly, outdoor ad equipment, printers, signs, out-of-home display, supplies (paper, inks, binding, labels, accessories), T-Shirt production, and print-on-demand machines.

The trade exhibit featured the ‘Sampayan ng Bayan T-Shirt Design Contest’ for both Professional and Amateur graphic designers who came-up with 72 entries — encouraging innovative graphic design ideas to be printed on textile or garment.

Various camera clubs staged their public Photo Exhibits in different themes and creativity. It was a ‘feast in your eyes’ treat participated by Zone V Camera Club, Framed Shots, SLR Camera Club, Chasing Light Batch 11, IdN Club Philippines, Bawal MagShoot Dito (BMSD), Philippine Center for Photo Journalism (PCP), and UK (Usapang Kalye).

The 42 seminar sessions were participated mostly by creative industry professionals and printing businessmen coming from various parts of the country to learn new methodologies, production techniques, and trends/forecasts in the industry. It was an opportunity to network with Industry Experts and to source for new business ideas.
